The Role
Really enjoyed the 9 weeks in Barclays. I enjoyed the strucutre of the internship and the variety of events through out the internship. People here are nice and approachable. Talking to them gave me great insights about the division and the industry.
My colleagues really tried to involve me as much as possible. They will explain clearly and enable me to understand what the task is about.
I was given great support throughout the internship. The performance review helped me to identify the development areas and work on it afterwards. People were willing to answer your questions as well.
Sometimes I could get really busy but sometimes I was given no tasks and simply searched for courses online. It actually really depends on how proactive you are as well. You could try to get involved as much as possible and people are happy to see this.
I was given tasks to make a real difference to the team. My work is valued and could be used to present to senior level as well.
People skills and soft skills learned throughout the internship are valuable and could be applied to anywhere in the future.
The Company
The prospect is promising and there are a variety of events to network with senior leaders.
The Culture
There were a variety of events such as voluntary day.
