The Role
Fantastic experience, made the most out of my summer!
Felt more valued during my first rotation (we had to do 2), so I guess it depends on the team on your desk.
Again, more guidance during my first rotation, so dependent on team.
I was really busy during my first rotation, did a lot of interesting work that also helped me a lot for my knowledge on the products and more administrative work at the second desk. This was less helpful for my skill set, but left some time to learn more about the products.
A lot of responsibility during the first rotation, less during the second one.
Learned more than in one year at university, really great experience!
The Company
People are really young and relaxed, nobody was unfriendly.
HR did great work, everything was really well organized!
They really wanted us to take away something form the internship, we had workshops for Excel, Bloomberg, Reuters and other programs and did assessment centres, trading games, etc.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Young bank, great, friendly and intelligent people, good payment!
The Culture
Lots of alumni from my home university, like in the rest of London lots of people from French universities.
London is expensive, no doubt about that. However, banks pay interns enough to compensate for the high cost of living in the city. I had no problems in terms of funding...
Drinks almost every Thursday and Friday after work, going out in Shoreditch every week.
Less activities outside work...
