The Role
I was given objectives that will have an impact on the future business procedures within my area. I enjoyed the responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to the bank on a more challenging level than purely doing BAU.
The technical training could be more challenging in the future. 2/3 of the day was very basic finance training which almost all the interns in the area knew. The work I did during the internship however wil be very relevant for my future studies and work.
The Company
Relaxed and unformal but with a professional attitude to things.
Training week should include more excel and technical training, since this is what we are doing the majority of the time
Very good and understanding approach towards me getting to learn the business and bank, as well as trusting me to do the work assigned to me.
Subsidised Canteen
Working from home
Future employment prospects within the firm seem to be good coming from a internship level. Hiring frees from outside applicants make the employment prospects for interns better.
The Culture
Yes, however most of the social activities was organised by ourselves, based on who we ran in to. We have not had many organised social activities that mix all the interns together in order to learn new people.
Rent in London is obviously very expensive. Socialising could be done at a fairly decent price.
Yes. Many charity projects were organised
