The Role
The placement was great in every respect! Great people, great work and great rewards.
From day one I was trusted, and my opinion was valued by my team. As I progressed through my placement I was given increasingly more challenging work which truly showed me that Virgin valued me as a person, and trusted me to do a good job.
Virgin has a very robust support system with my manager and my scheme leads always being available for support. Additionally, part of the Virgin culture is around working together and I found that colleagues were more than happy to sit down with me for 5 minutes to help when I needed it.
I found my workload would change on a regular basis depending on the projects I was working on. However it was very rare that I found myself at either extreme, and when that did happen my manager was quickly to act and correct the problem.
From day one I was given key responsibility at Virgin, and by the end of the placement I was leading on key projects.
Virgin has taught me a huge amount since I started both in terms of theory and real life work practise. I look forward to taking this back to university next year.
The Company
The atomsphere was great at Virgin, and Virgin flexible approach was fantastic. Additionally, the culture at Virgin is fantastic and there was rarely a boring day at the office!!
Very organised. Could not fault the program.
Throughout the intern scheme we had regular training which was very useful.

I hope to return to the Virgin Media Business graduate scheme.
The Culture
Virgin instilled a sense of community amongst the graduates and interns and we regularly met up outside the office.
I am originally from the north and was based down south so it was quite expensive in comparison. However, Virgin have offices all over the country so if you live in the north chances our it will be cheaper.
Very near London so great!
