    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • A great week with a friendly team who made me feel welcome and integrated from the outset. I could not have asked for a better experience. My time not only provided a genuine insight into potential future career paths, but also reinforced my enthusiasm for my career and study choices to date.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I was made to feel valued from start to finish. My specific interests were considered and I was challenged with interesting and thought provoking tasks, with the level of difficulty managed appropriately. The balance between individual and team working was perfect, enabling me to feel comfortable within the group, yet valued as an individual.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Phenomenal support and guidance throughout. The materials provided laid out clearly how the experience was going to unfold, as well as useful details about the firm and required contact details. There was an appropriate balance between structured time, with small group sessions/information sessions/seminars, and less structured time to allow a degree of exploration.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The information I received has framed my studies and given context to my future plans: it has not only reassured me about my choices, but also reinforced my desire to pursue my goals.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • This was a very carefully structured programme, with appropriate first steps for ice breaking within the group and settling in, and building from there to culminate in a very useful experience working directly with fee earners. The balance between structured and unstructured time was perfect.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was very constructive: everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Sufficient feedback was provided throughout to ensure that I was able to progress and/or modify my approach to the experience as necessary.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There was a clear investment in my experience, from everyone that I encountered throughout the experience. Everyone was prepared to take as much time as necessary to discuss their experiences with me, provide guidance where necessary and to provide feedback. This is the most valuable investment that any firm can make.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • This was one of the major strengths of the programme. Being able to work alongside fee earners as they carried out the full spectrum of daily tasks, provided me with a genuine insight in the role. This extended not only to observing the work being carried, but to actually taking part, producing materials and completing assigned tasks relating to real situations.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • This was the ideal experience to gain an understanding of the culture within the firm. We were exposed to a range of situations, enabling us to see the firm from a number of different angles.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • The experience was instrumental in cementing my intention to pursue my future career path.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • We were provided with opportunities to network across the firm, and this was actively encouraged by the nature of the group exercise we were asked to complete. Additionally, we were invited to attend a lunch time networking event and an informal evening away from the firm.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • 5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
