About You
I really enjoyed the insight programme as I felt that I was able to learn a fair bit, while also contributing to the department that I was placed in.
I felt valued during my time at the company, as I was included in the activities organised within my department, and my co-workers also made an active attempt to get to know me better.
I received much guidance and support throughout the internship. For example, my co-workers were always willing to help out when I had questions regarding the work I was doing. Additionally, they also made the time to explain the background of the work that I was involved with, and this aided in giving me a better understanding of what I was doing.
I personally feel that the skills that I have developed as well as the information that I have received throughout the period of the audit vacation program, would definitely be useful in my degree studies as I am currently undertaking a degree in accounting and finance. Following that, I believe that this skills would also prove useful as I begin my working career as well.
The Company
The insight program was rather well structured, in terms of the organisation and the work allocation, and most interns were assigned to two or three companies throughout the vacation program.
The general atmosphere was friendly and the people that I met throughout the period of the insight program, were helpful and nice.
I feel that the company invested quite a fair amount, in regards to the training and personal development of the interns in the insight program. This was not only in relation to work related activities, but also included CSR based activities as well.
Based on my experience and time in the insight program, I was able to understand more about what it would be like to have a full time role within the company, based on the work that I was given and the interactions that I had with my co-workers as well.
I felt that the insight helped me to gain a deeper understanding of the company culture, based on the trainings that I was given and my interactions with my co-workers throughout the period of the insight program.
I personally felt that the content was rather useful, in helping me to make an informed decision about my future career path upon graduation.
Everything Else
I was paid for my 6 weeks of work throughout the vacation program. Additionally, I was also given a lunch allowance each day.
There were some opportunities for interns to meet with fellow interns, and to meet with the HR employees as well. Additionally, there were also networking opportunities within the individual departments that we were assigned to as well.
I felt that the number of networking and social opportunities were fair considering that the insight program was only for a period of 6 weeks.
Yes, a CSR activity was organised to help us understand more about how to get involved with activities outside of work. In addition, we were also given some information about this during the induction week.
I would definitely recommend this insight to a friend, as I personally feel that this would be a valuable learning experience.
