The Role
Interesting to work for the company and love seeing everything that was happening but the workload was very small and found myself being bored a lot of the time.
Colleagues are very keen to make the most of my internship and voice their willingness for us to learn lots and return to the company. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.
Lots of support and guidance despite him being a very busy person.
Found myself being bored very often.
Responsible for my own work and left to do it my own way!
Communication skills improved and experience of proper working life was useful.
The Company
Calm, friendly and welcoming. Often free cake going but other than that not much excitement.
Initially poor but then the manager took over my placement and found work for me to do. More work would have been good if prepared.
Time taken out of peoples days were used to invest in me. Things such as site tours and meetings to describe the company were very helpful.
I feel like my chances are very high of being offered a job here! should hear very quickly after leaving my placement.
The Culture
Yes there was a good social aspect between the interns as there were a lot in Derby.
Too expensive. HAd to pay for accommodation myself which was £100 a week for very little living comfort. Socialising costs were okay id say slightly above average but not extortionate.
It was average. Lots of small pubs in the area and a few clubs.
Yes lots of chances to do things.
