The Role
Sometimes a lack of planning led to days with nothing to do early on.
When given work actually communicated with colleagues about it and was shown how it was going to be used going further.
Sometimes didn't have a clear plan or induction.
Occasionally had days where I wasn't given work but on the whole good.
Given a 40,000 word report to write independently, then reviewed by colleagues.
Mostly report writing rather than detailed engineering so although may not directly affect degree will probably help with dissertation
The Company
Very friendly and young staff.
Often lack of plan especially at the beginning, induction poorly done as well.
Not much training given other than basic induction.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Above 25 days holiday
Pretty good, large company with lots of departments.
The Culture
Occasional socials which were good when run most people went to the pub on weekends.
Living at home so wasn't very worried about costs.
Not great nightlife in Epsom but close to London.
Lots of opportunities and activities were organised by people within the company.
