The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed the internship. A great learning experience and gave me exposure to a number of areas.
Pretty much all colleagues were approachable regardless of seniority and willing to take time out to talk or help.
Line manager was excellent in allocating time, explaining processes, pieces of work and caring about what I wanted to get out of the internship.
Workload and amount of meetings fluctuated across the 10 weeks.
I was given a number of projects to work on over the 10 weeks on my own and seeking help from colleagues when needed alongside day to day tasks.
I am only just finishing the internship so cannot gauge exactly how much it is going to assist, but I can say it has been a great learning experience and I have learnt a great dea.
The Company
Everyone was friendly, approachable and still positive even if areas of the project were not going to plan.
Well organised. Applying was a simple process, the Early in Careers team set up introductory events and my line manager had planned my first week to give me exposure to as many meetings as possible to get up to speed.
Company has a large number of learning courses that can be taken through the intranet alongside the mandatory training required. Webinars also occurred periodically throughout the internship on different topics within the bank/banking.

Most colleagues reported positively about their experience with the company. Interns are considered for graduate positions at the end of the 10 weeks.
The Culture
Did meet up at lunch times and for the CSR project that interns do but due to many commuting outside of work hours this was somewhat lacking,
As a student coming from London pretty much any city appears cheap, Milton Keynes costs the same as any similar town/city in its location.
Milton Keynes isn't the largest of places so doesn't compare to large cities but has a number of nice bars and places to eat.
