The Role
Definitely one of the best internship programmes in the industry. Many opportunities available and the people are always willing to give a helping hand.
Very valued. Another aspect which helped was that my project was very relevant to the work that the rest of my team was doing.
Everyone was always willing to help, and if they couldn't, they would refer me to someone who could.
The work load fluctuated - I was never too busy, there were times when I didn't have as much work to do but if I felt I needed something extra my manager was more than willing to help.
As much responsibility as you'd expect from an intern role.
Critical skills were achieved. Skills that gave me an idea of how the industry actually works and how an office is run (things which are sometimes taken for granted). I will definitely return to my degree a step above with all that I've learnt.
The Company
A good atmosphere - not too busy but not dull either. Enough quiet so that you are able to concentrate on your work.
A good, organised setup - giving you the required basic knowledge of how the company work and all the opportunities you'd want available.
there were a number of courses made available to me from which I could acquire a variation of skills.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Many opportunities available throughout all departments in the company.
The Culture
We managed to organise activities and events very regularly throughout the placement.
I didn't socialise near the workplace but more in the area I was living in. The heart of London isn't the cheapest of places and I think anyone would agree. That isn't to say that socialising is difficult - far from it
The area I worked in was very quiet but I enjoyed lots of good nightlife in the centre of London which is where I was living.
Wide variety of events!
