The Role
Really enjoyed working at Santander - a fantastic company to work for.
Really can't complain about this one. I was spoken to and treated like a valued member of the team at all times.
With it being in Summer it was a bit on and off
I would say that having 1 as bored or too busy defeats the point of this question.
Great levels of responsibility.
Absolutely.
The Company
The general atmosphere in the office was very good. As previously stated - with the internship taking place in the Summer time it has been a bit duller at times, although that is an unfair representation of the general mood in the office when everybody is here. There is definitely a Friday feeling of sorts!
The only reason this would not be given a 10 is because it is my first internship and don't have anything to compare it to , but ignoring that I think it is fair to say that the organisation of the internship was in fact 'seamless'. The 10 weeks were all organised and there were scheduled webinars.
There were 3 scheduled webinars that were split into different topics to do with Santander bank as a whole. There is clearly a lot of training to be gained at the company. It would of been nice to maybe have had a little exposure to one of the official training days - whether it be Microsoft excel or business-related etc.

I think the general feeling amongst all of the interns here is that Santander is a fantastic place to work at any stage of your career. The reasons for anybody to not take a job here would have to be for alternative reasoning. The work-life balance and personal development all add up to make a very good career.
The Culture
Social scene is always what you make of it. From the off I was really close with my fellow interns and went on multiple nights out in LDN within the first month. Also there were social events and drinks organised with the senior members of the bank. There is always an opportunity to do more.
Taking this question on face value , yes it was very expensive to go out and the cost of living in ZONE 1 London is rather on the dear side. However that should not put anybody off the idea of it. Wages are adjusted accordingly and there are many good nights out to be had. Having come from being a student , it is alarming how expensive certain bits of living here.
Absolutely mint. Just at the base of Triton Square there is a bar called The Refinery which is basically Santander Central on Fridays after work. Then there is a little bare called Mestito which is late night tapas and DJs. Then if you really want to go out there is loads of other places all within 10-15 minutes.
There is a lot of charity work being done at the bank and this means there are always events under the CSR project that you can be a part of which is a great way to spend the working day ! Other than that it is again really a case of making the most of what the other colleagues are doing and seeing where you can get involved.
