The Role
Fantastic place to work, thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots or areas covered and great insights into all areas of the bank.
Extremely valued, treated as an actual employee.
Lots of support in day to day tasks and any help you need however require you to be pro active so less guidance.
Very busy, lots of tasks all the time working on live projects and constantly things to do. Sometimes quiet as you would expect but majority of time very busy.
Lots of responsibility working on key projects and knowing your work is going to make a significant difference is good to hear. Expected to produce as much as an employee working for 10 years would need to produce, so both expectation but also allowing you to grow into the role.
Not so much helping with degree but certainly develop soft skills you would not think otherwise and definitely gets you prepared for the world of banking and all that is involved from meetings with IFA's and CEO's to building models and systems for use in big decisions.
The Company
Very relaxed atmosphere even when lots of work going on and pressure is up, everyone has time to talk to you and offer support.
Very well set up, structured internship with regular review meetings, activities and tasks organised as well.
Most definitely was given training through being taken along to key meetings and shown important information that was very useful. However not so much training given on job role, expected to come in and deliver and adapt to business requirements.
Working from home
Would definitely recommend as place to work.
The Culture
Social scene after work if you make the effort to speak and interact with other interns as well as company giving you the chance through CSR tasks.
Expensive being in Central London as expected.
Fantastic Night Life in London, many bars, restaurants and clubs around.
