The Role
I enjoyed my internship so much. I feel very lucky to get a taste of Bloomberg's corporate culture. I am very happy to be here. I became aware of my strengths and weaknesses. I was able to work on things that were challenging for me throughout the duration of my internship.
Every single individual I worked with appreciated my work so much. They explained to me how impactful my work has been several times. It made me feel very valued by my colleagues and strengthened my ambition throughout my internship. I wish for everyone to have a team like the one I have had. I'm quite sad that I will be leaving my team. I hope I get a chance to work with them in the future.
My manager and mentor have been very helpful. They answered my questions right away. They made me become aware of my mistakes. They gave meaningful advice on many subjects. I appreciate it
I was quite busy everyday. I worked on different tasks and projects on a daily basis. I focused on different subjects throughout my projects. This kept me really interested on a daily basis.
My team gave me quite a lot of responsibility. I was able to help them at any task they thought my contribution could be useful. I think I saved a lot of time for them.
I learned so much about project management, time management and team collaboration. I learned how to manage my projects in a high pace environment that changes all the time.
The Company
Bloomberg is a high pace environment where things change all the time. Markets change all the time. Thus our business changes all the time. You can trace this in every department at Bloomberg. It requires a lot of flexibility. What I plan for tomorrow usually ends up happening in a different way. It taught me how to be flexible. The environment keeps every single individual busy and keeps the interest levels high.
My internship has been organized well. However, I struggled during the last part of my internship. I did not have a proper introduction of the division I was working in. The tasks given to me were mostly small tasks.
I became aware of my weaknesses with the help of my manager and supervisors. I got the change to work on it. For example, I am an introvert but Bloomberg values being bold a lot. I realized that at Bloomberg, being bold results in success. It helps people around you recognize your thoughts and contributions. I was able to work on it and I can see that I am different about it today than the day I started the internship. The company constantly seeks to motivate interns.

I am really interested in departments different than the one I worked with. I luckily got exposure to these departments during my free time at work. I would love to apply whenever I can. I unfortunately cannot right now since I am a family lottery intern.
The Culture
Definitely. The social events organized by the Campus Recruitment team definitely brought the interns closer. I know that I will stay in touch with some of them. I wish that I spend more time with them.
Living in London is not cheap. Expenses around work, for me, has not been too much due to the food offered in the office. I did not spend anything in breakfast. I was motivated to snack at work and stay inside because snacking out was not too cheap.
I really enjoyed the nightlife in the area I worked in. I even came over to Shoreditch on the weekends. I personally love east London and I feel quite lucky to be able to spend at least four times a week around it due to my work.
Yes, they were. There are so many events going on in London over the summer. I tried my best to attend to the ones I was interested in. I had a few friends from university visiting. I had the chance to see them.
