The Role
Accenture provides you with a perfect mix of challenging but rewarding work, as well as being able to work with some really great people and clients.
Even at the lowest level, any good contribution is valued very highly by even more senior members of the team.
Any good question is never a stupid one and is always answered with respect and guidance.
The work, at times, was very demanding, totalling around 45-50 hours per week. However, that's what you sign up for and it is in the nature of consultancy to get the job done. There are however always rewards for hard work - effort never goes un-noticed.
Accenture do expect you to be able to cope with a lot of responsibility and often in a short space of time. During my internship there was one occasion where I was mainly responsible for training client employees on how to use an online learning environment that I was introduced to the first time two days previously.
Everything that you learn / pick-up whilst working for Accenture will benefit any further education that you decide to do, as well as enhancing your personal skills and job-related avilities.
The Company
The office was always welcoming and fun, but wasn't that crazy that you didn't feel like work - the right balance in my opinion.
Only a few minor things went wrong with my experience, however all of which were related to uncontrollable extraneous factors and are to be expected by anyone.
The company could not have invested more time, experience, expertise, or money in the Summer Interns.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Car
National Travel

Working from home
After my internship I was offered a full-time place for when I graduate.
The Culture
Amazing nights out as well as mid-week project meals/nights. It was that good it took me almost a month to recover. Absolutely amazing!
My project was in Warrington, so it only got expensive when you went out in Manchester/Liverpool. However, London is very expensive.
Warrington's night life isn't amazing, but nearby Manchester was great and in London over the weekends was a blast!
In my experience, we all participated in a charity day which was great fun, as well as me being aware of a project football team and all the numerous Accenture societies.
