The Role
I really enjoyed my work placement as I got a chance to look after subcontracts. Also interacting with different colleagues from various roles and understanding what they do on the project.
If I had any problems there was someone always there to help and to give me the right guidance.
Every day was different but majority of the time I was kept busy doing tasks that help me gain more knowledge and skills.
I was given responsibility for a number of tasks but my main responsibilities were looking after short form subcontracts, attending meetings and taking the minutes and staff timesheets.
The skills and knowledge that I learnt will help a huge amount with my degree as I will be able to apply the knowledge that I gained to my university work.
The Company
The atmosphere was different every day as some days were quiet and then some days can be really busy.
It was organized very well as I was given all my information before I started my placement so I was able to prepare myself for travel, clothing etc.
They helped a huge amount to help develop me with my knowledge and skills.
It is very appealing for students as there is a chance of being placed on to the graduate scheme to develop skills and knowledge even more.
