The Role
I did not enjoy the job itself, but the skills i learnt and the feeling at the end certainly made it worthwhile
My personal manager made me feelsowelcome, and the overallhead of the company even took the time to write me personla letters
I was given plenty of advice to help me, not all of it useful.
Very, very busy. barely any free time to speak of. this was both a positive and a negative,as it is good to be kept busy, buton the day that was meant to be our day off, we were given no spare time of note
I was given a very large amount of responsibility. i, and i alone, was responsible for my success.
A huge amount. the skills the placement teaches and instills in you will be extremely useful to me leading a successful life in university and beyond. the main positive of theplacement is these skills
The Company
I didnt really have an office, so it is hard to say. but in general, the hq was pretty fun
The training process and beginning of the placement was seamless, but once the placement started, there were several organisational kinks that could do with being worked out. the chain of command was at times a hindrance to quick decisions being made
The company gave me a lot of training, but as i arrived a little late to the placement, i felt like i did not receive all the training and effort that previous people had
International Travel
It was a great experience, and i dont regret it, but i certainly do not intend to do this again, as i would rather do something i enjoy more, and something more attuned to the field i see myself working in in later life
The Culture
we did not have much time to take part in social activities so it is hard to say
there was no socialising, so it is hard to say
please see above
work took up literally all of my time
