The Role
Overall enjoyable, although sometimes not the most interesting work.
Felt very valued by my colleagues. I feel I was lucky with the team I was placed in, as some other interns did not necessarily feel the same way.
Excellent support from my line manager and other members of the team, sometime dealings with HR was a bit vague.
Some days I had nothing to do and some days I was incredibly busy.
Reasonable amount of responsibility, but as I was only here for 10 weeks I felt it was difficult to give me more important tasks as I will not be here to see them through.
Development of a lot of soft skills, however nothing significant.
The Company
I was placed in a particularly lively office - lots to do, was incredible fun when we had office Olympic games.
Not organised very well. Inconsistency amongst interns and poor communication at times.
I feel as though the company has invested a lot in me for personal training and development.

The Culture
Edinburgh is a very expensive city, especially during the festival in August. Apart from rent, Edinburgh is as expensive as London.
Edinburgh during the festival is amazing, and even not during the festival is great fun.
Work can be quite tiring, reasonable hours but could take 2-3 hours to and from work to the city centre depending on traffic and parking was near impossible. A 9 hour work day was quite often 12 hours of time used. Being able to work from home once a week as full time employees can would have been hugely beneficial.
