The Role
I worked within a fantastic group of people, all of which were very happy to help and answer my questions. I was kept busy and very quickly became a useful member of the branch I was working within.
From the very first day I was made to feel welcome and valued, my colleagues were always friendly and regularly went out of their way to help me. .
Very regularly, at least once a week I had a chat with my Area manager who was happy to offer advice and guidance. My Branch Manager was always happy to answer any queries or provide me with the details of people who could.
There were days when business was quiet but there was always other jobs and tasks to be getting on with, I was never left sitting around. The last 10 weeks have gone very quickly!
I was never able to drive the cars, but I was trusted with everything else. Although a lot of my work was customer based I had plenty of office based responsibilities such as managing tickets and chasing extensions, again keeping me very busy!
The organizational skills and confidence I have gained from the placement have been invaluable. I have had conversations with so many new people improving not only my confidence but my customer service and communication skills.
The Company
Always cheerful, lots of chat and definitely never awkward! My colleagues are very similar to myself and we all got on well.
There was a proper 12 week structure and regular training days that I attended. I used a folder to keep track of my progress and the activities I was involved in.
I went to all the training days a full time member would attend, I was treated as like a regular member of staff and I was definitely not treated as a temporary member of staff.

Company Parties/Events
Lots of opportunities to progress within the firm, lots of different arms of the business to get involved in which I think is fantastic! There are lots of chances to switch branch and climb the ladder given the correct training has been completed.
The Culture
Yes, I was taken out for food a number of times and we had a big work night out which had a great atmosphere. I met all the other interns on my training days and we remained in touch throughout the placement.
I already live in Swansea while I am at university, but both are cheap housing is 330 a month or so and nights out are reasonable.
Great, its definitely better when all the students are back but over the summer its still busy and there are lots of opportunities to go out and plenty of events on.
Lots of charity work and days out that I was invited to attend, ensuring we give something back to the community we work within.
