The Role
Very good work experience, gave me a good insight into how the company works. Very good projects.
The office was a very friendly environment and I felt at home straight away
My line manager did help but he was busy quite often. I made friends with other colleagues and they were keen to help so I was never stuck on my own.
It varied for me as I had a practical project in which people wanted to get fixed so when working on that project I was very very busy. Time flew by.
For the project I was given I tended to be very independent in solving them myself. Especially my first project
My first project gave me skills in approaching and tackling real life plant operation situations. My second project gave me a good insight into research work
The Company
It varied alot due to the holiday season. Some weeks alot people may be away and the office was quiet; others is was full and fun
The internship is organised very well. No negative comments about how much organisation goes into the internships
Alot of resources went into training us for future employment
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I would love for BP to offer me a graduate program
The Culture
Alot of the interns organised socials between eachother and there was a site BBQ and graduates also organised socials
Hull is a cheap area to live in
Hull night life is average
There is alot to do in the area if you look in the right places
