The Role
The people and the responsibility given was amazing.
They took us out for meals, drinks, and gave us work they would do themselves. Never did they dis-respect me and were easy to approach.
Constantly had feedback sessions. Also, if I did not understand something they were ready to help me.
My manager ensured that the work I received was the right balance to ensure an outstanding result was produced. The days varied, but on overall they ensured that they were as close to giving the right balance.
I was given quite a few projects from the start. The beauty was that they gave me projects that the team was actually carrying out.
I learnt quite a few technical skills, web building skills which can be used everywhere and excel skills which I can use for studies and for future purposes.
The Company
Most of the people had a good sense of humor. Senior managers would readily come and share stories with us which was past my expectations.
They had quite a structured internship with lunches with senior representatives organised, feedback sessions, informal and formal networking sessions.
The people at work did teach individuals how to sue their systems. Also, there were quite a few sessions which gave us an idea of what the business does.
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Not yet heard from them. They said they will inform us after 2 weeks of completion.
The Culture
The group bonded pretty well - we had quite a few events organised for us and by us.
Slightly expensive, but I guess living in the City does come at a cost.
Canary Wharf has a good nightlife right across the river.
Yes, we were invited for a corporate challenge organised by JP Morgan and touch rugby Barclays .
