The Role
During this internship in the Sales & Analytics departments you mainly do Campaign calls meaning that you call a list of hundreds of customers and you have to call them to pitch some functions or the mobile app. Other part of the job is making some research on prospects or key people in Customers' institution on LinkedIn or Google. Bloomberg likes competition between interns so every Friday it is "Friday Calling Competition" There are also several projects to achieve through the internship with presentations at the end of August in front of the senior managers. On the other hand the company organises great event like bowling or Harry Potter studio's visit.
Colleagues are nice as other interns, when giving feedbacks they do it in a nice way.
Line managers are helpful, if you have a question or need help they will assist you but they expect a good quality of work which is normal.
Always busy, sometimes need to stay after work (once or twice a week)
Not so many, you have to book meetings for customers mainly.
Learned a lot on the financial industry, learned how to use the Terminal, sales skills
The Company
Good atmosphere among interns despite the fact that we are putting in competition. Employees are nice and happy to talk about their job and help you.
Well organised, did not have any time without something to do.
A lot, they really want you to perform well, so you have trainings for the Terminal but also how to make a call and gain in confidence.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Every year, they hire a lot in Analytics department, where you spend from 18 to 24 months before going to Sales.
The Culture
Very expansive, it's central London.
Several bars and restaurants but many closed early as their customers are Banks employees around.
Yes, philanthropies and sports teams where interns are welcomed.
