The Role
Barclays Capital is a great place to work, and my day to day tasks were interesting.
Everyone at BarCap supports you with your work, and really makes you feel as though you have been working there for a long time.
I guess you can always be given more support, however you have to recognise that managers are very busy people.
I was always busy as I had a lot of work to be getting on with.
I took on most of the tasks that other members of the team would do as well as other projects on the side.
The skills learnt aren't necessarily applicable to my degree but they will be very useful in the workplace when I am older.
The Company
The atmosphere was relaxed but also hard working.
I think that the internship was very well organised and that we had a lot of god opportunities.
BarCap really cares about its interns, and this can be seen through all of the events and initiatives it sets up for them.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I think BarCap is a great place to work and presents many opportunities to further your career.
The Culture
Most of the interns were sociable and fun people.
Socialising was excellent as it was London, however it was inevitably expensive.
London is well known for its nightlife!
There were a lot of activities to get involved in, especially in sports.
