  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Barclays Capital is a great place to work, and my day to day tasks were interesting.

    • Everyone at BarCap supports you with your work, and really makes you feel as though you have been working there for a long time.

    • I guess you can always be given more support, however you have to recognise that managers are very busy people.

    • I was always busy as I had a lot of work to be getting on with.

    • I took on most of the tasks that other members of the team would do as well as other projects on the side.

    • The skills learnt aren't necessarily applicable to my degree but they will be very useful in the workplace when I am older.

    • The atmosphere was relaxed but also hard working.

    • I think that the internship was very well organised and that we had a lot of god opportunities.

    • BarCap really cares about its interns, and this can be seen through all of the events and initiatives it sets up for them.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Most of the interns were sociable and fun people.

    • Socialising was excellent as it was London, however it was inevitably expensive.

    • London is well known for its nightlife!

    • There were a lot of activities to get involved in, especially in sports.
