  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I absolutely loved it, it's an incredible internship, and even if you're not interested in business journalism necessarily, it's excellent to get experience in the newsroom.

  • You're treated almost as an equal, but often receive just enough support and then are left to go off and do your own thing.

  • A great deal, but occasionally they are too busy.

  • It varied. Depending on the day, anywhere from absolutely slammed to kind of bored. Generally verging on busier days.

  • A great deal.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I haven't started yet, but I can only assume that the training you receive in this is instrumental in the rest of your life.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Amazing. It's extremely open and helpful, you can ask virtually anyone for help and they'll step up.

  • Extremely well organized.

  • An incredible amount of time and investment goes into the interns at Bloomberg.

  • Extremely appealing, Bloomberg is one of the few companies offering such amazing opportunities, particularly in journalism.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, many drinks were had.

  • Extremely expensive, but that's just a function of London.

  • Good, but I didn't really take advantage.

  • A few, but the day can get quite busy.
