The Role
I did enjoy my time in Bloomberg. It was a great experience during my time there and I consider that I gained a lot of new knowledge that will benefit me in the future. I feel like I'm a better programmer now.
I felt like I was a valuable member of the team at all times.
My mentor was always ready to jump in and offer me support whenever I was stuck on something or having hard times understanding the internal achitecture of the system for example.
My working hours were pretty flat, 9 to 6. I'd say it wasn't that bad.
Even though I worked on an independant, stand-alone project, it had to deal with the current running systems. Consequently, responsibility was there towards the end of the internship especially because the project that I did was about to be used by many other internal projects of theirs.
I am confident that the knowledge and technical training that I received during my time in Bloomberg will definitely bring me a great benefit in my degree. I feel like I'm a better programmer now and also a more mature person. I will treat courseworks or uni projects more seriously and in a more mature way.
The Company
The general atmosphere in the office was not stressful at all actually, my team was pretty relaxed but we were following very precise timelines at the same time. Weekly meetings increased the level of confidence in ourselves so that the overall atmosphere was pretty chill.
The overall internship was set up very well in my opinion. There's nothing bad that I can
They did invest time and resources in both the start of the internship training course and in throughout the internship by organizing several tech talks and enjoyable events.
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
They are very appealing at the moment of speaking.
The Culture
Yes it was a good social scene at all times due to the big amount of intern socializing events we attended.
For London the prices were pretty decent to be honest.
The nightlife was very much fun, the area in which the offices are situated offers many many opportunities.
Yes, there are plenty of gyms nearby and also a lot of pubs and locals to have a good times with the ones close to you.
