The Role
Great year filled with lots of different experiences, learnings as well as support from colleagues and fellow intern community.
They treat you as a normal employee and make sure you feel as involved as anyone else in projects/tasks; they also acknowledge all the hard work you do and motivate you to develop even more.
On a weekly/fortnight my basis, depending on your team you would have 1:1s with members of your team/manager to gain any support/guidance on your role/experience.
This really depends on your role and the time of the year (Summer/Christmas/Easter are awesomely busy times of the year for Marketing) but you'd always have tasks to complete no matter what which is great.
They would give you parts of projects/tasks to 'own' which would've otherwise been owned by a full time employee so you're usually given a great amount of real responsibility.
An unbelievable amount; you grow and develop so much during a year of placement due to the amount of responsibilities you're given. You get to learn a lot about yourself AND the 'real world of work'; all of which are transferable skills that you can take into your final year of university and grad jobs.
The Company
Friendly, creative and autonomous.
A lot of mentoring and training is usually offered.
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Travel loan
A good range of roles are offered in the grad scheme.
The Culture
The intern community was very integrated and welcoming.
In terms of living costs, Reading was much cheaper than London would've been.
A lot of options are available and as long as you're with a group of friends/interns, you'll have fun no matter what.
There are 101 teams to get involved in!
