The Role
IT was very good and informative; an eye opener into the everyday tasks of an auditor.
I had a very good mentor to begin with who bestowed me with responsibilities and tasks from the beginning. After he had left for his holiday break though I had less to do.
All of the tasks assigned to me were clearly explained beforehand and throughout.
I was busy for the first half of the internship buy after my mentor left for holiday I was not reassigned properly.
I was given enough responsibility to make me feel that I was beneficial to the company.
I learnt about auditing, however the skills it developed were no different to any other job I have done and I study engineering so it has no effect on this.
The Company
IT was professional and had a feeling of efficiency as well as camaraderie.
Poorly, it only sets you up with one mentor who was very helpful, but when he left for holiday reassignment was very difficult due to it being a quiet part of the auditing year.
The company were good at this and fairly attentive at organising development sessions.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Working from home
Yes, the job was fairly desirable although I was rejected at the end of my internship.
The Culture
Yes, they made sure to organise events towards the beginning but maybe could have organised an event at the end of the internship.
It's expensive, it's London. The jobs pay well though.
There's a lot going on in London, the 24 hr tube makes thing a bit easier as well.
I think so however I was not there long enough to get exposed to this.
