The Role
Really enjoyed working for KPMG, learned something new everyday and the work wasn't boring.
Was working on client work, that was being sent out to clients. Also attended multiple client meetings
Everyone had time to listen to any questions I had and explain new things to me.
Most days I had thing to do, but some days I struggled to find work.
I was working on client work and doing work that the client would see.
I have learned a lot over the internship and it helped me decide what career I wanted to do.
The Company
Great everyone was friendly, lots of social opportunities after work. But was also hard working. Very much liked the fact that the managers didn't have offices and sat with everyone and joined on jokes.
Great I knew exactly what I was doing each day and what events were coming up, nothing was flung on me.
I felt that the firm invested a lot of time and money into the interns, as I had to attend a training course in London for few days before I started in my home office which they paid for.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare/Dental
Received a job offer after my internship and am planning on taking it.
The Culture
I went out with work colleagues for drinks on multiple occasions after work, also attended a wine tasting event and a few meals.
I was based in the North so everything was relatively cheap, my wages easily covered cost of living.
Great! Bar opposite work and 5 min walk from the city centre which has hundreds pubs, bars and clubs.
Don't think I was at the office long enough to fully get a view of what was available, but did here talks of office football and other activities.
