The Role
The people around me were great in both commercial and retail, very happy to help and interested in what I had to say. I didn't have an awful lot to do day to day. I spent most of my time either looking over someones shoulder or reading the news online. I had some minor projects but nothing harder than a powerpoint presentation.
Very happy to help and were keen to educate me about their areas of work.
Very good support by the management in both placements. Happy to help if I had any questions at all.
Very little to do in both retail and commercial.
I was able to attend client meetings and had the opportunity to email clients directly when asked.
Definitely a good first step in building my knowledge of the banking sector.
The Company
Always friendly but lacked some humour sometimes
I had a lot of feedback and benefitted from shadowing a high number of individuals within the company
Financial Bonus
It's clear they look after their staff well. Focused on providing a good service to their customer. Adhere to their values.
The Culture
I got on well with my manager who was the youngest guy in the office excluding me. I didn't seem to socialise with many of the interns excluding the group activity days. They were all very nice people though
Lots of volunteering which was enjoyable
