  • Overall a very well organised placement, giving a good overview of the company and the job as a whole.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Made to feel very valued and welcome by the whole team, always an offer of a drink.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The help was always there if I needed it but usually I was left to it.

    4/5

  • Went through very quiet spells, and then very busy spells. Usually always had something to get on with, but at times a lot more again.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was treated as an integral member of the team from the start, which did feel like getting thrown in at the deep end at first, but it ended up with me getting a lot more out of it.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills weren't really linked to my course subject at all, but the experience of working for an engineering company will be invaluable and will definitely help later on in my career.

    3/5

    The Company

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There seemed to be, although the opportunities to meet other interns or grads weren't all that much, and I tended to socialise more with people in the office and on my project, most of which were full employees.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Manageable! If you know the right places to go (I go to university in the area anyway)

  • Bristol has fantastic nightlife.

    4/5
