The Role
I enjoyed it tremendously, from the job scope given, to the people in my placement. Although we have objectives to be achieved, the placement managers are not really aware of this, so we had to continuously consolidate with them.
I feel very valued. My colleagues were always there to help me and support me throughout the program.
I was given a lot of support and guidance by my placement managers. However, there was also a sense of independence that's emphasized by the managers, which is much appreciated as well.
Some of the days are busy especially when it comes close to deadlines.
Quite a lot for an intern. I was required to contact clients and pretty much did jobs as an analyst although I'm in the first year scheme.
Not much but understanding financial statements is definitely helpful.
The Company
There are times when it's tense but we have also have fun at times even with the managers.
Quite organised I would say. Placement managers ensured that we have projects for each of our placements.
A lot to be frank. HSBC really wants you to develop quickly as an intern.
National Travel
Very appealing.
The Culture
Yup definitely. Most of got close as interns.
It was not too bad as I was placed at Birmingham.
Yup, HSBC graduates organise charity events for us interns.
