The Role
During my 11 week internship I was involved in a variety of work allowing my to get a very good feel for the type of work I may be involved in as a graduate. I was also fortunate enough to get on-site experience enabling me to gain an appreciation of the operational side of the business as well as the engineering side.
Everyone in the office was very friendly and were willing to provide advice and assistance if required.
The support provided by both my manager and mentor was great. During my project they were able to provide valuable guidance and also suggest any training they thought would be worthwhile.
The workload was a very good balance. Due to the nature of the tasks I was involved with the workload could vary day to day. I was always busy but I never felt under or overworked.
I was given responsibility very early on in my internship. My work allowed me to correspond with external contractors and also arrange and chair meetings to progress projects.
Throughout my internship I feel I really developed my confidence and communication skills. My manager encourage met to get out and meet people both on site and in the office enabling me to build a great support network with various people I could go to for information and advice.
The Company
The office was very friendly with a mix of different people making my internship interesting and enjoyable.
I was given the opportunity to attend training courses to develop my knowledge and skills
