The Role
Everyone there was very friendly and easy to talk to, the work was interesting and you were always given a large variety of work to complete
I was given a vast array of tasks to complete by my colleagues, far more than what I was expecting to be given. Also, there were lots of opportunities to go out with colleagues for food/drinks
My in-charges gave me a lot of pointers on how to complete the tasks I had been given, and also helped me to pass my final interview
There was nearly always enough work to keep my occupied for the day, with me being required to work late on some occasions. This being said, I was allowed to leave early on Fridays if my work had been completed
I felt like I was given tasks that would be similar to what I would be doing in a graduate role. I was set tasks and left to get on with them, and then submitting them to the file once they had been competed, and then if there were any corrections highlighted by management I would correct them
My skills were developed a small amount during the internship with me capably being able to complete all tasks set for me by the end of it. The company will support my professional training once I join as a graduate
The Company
When I was in the office there always seemed a good atmosphere, but as I was doing audit the majority of my time was spent at client's site, and so I didn't fully experience the office
Very organised. I had an induction on the first day, and once I joined up with my team I had a list of clients who I'd be working on during my time there
I had to complete the health and safety and ethics training, but other than that I had none during my internship. I had a performance manager who regularly met with me to discuss how I'm finding my work and who helped me prepare for my final interview

I was given a final interview during my internship. I was helped to prepare for this by everyone I worked with and my people leader and performance manager, and this helped me to get a graduate role within the company
The Culture
We all were able to talk to one another in the office or over the inter-company messenger and there were events organised for the students on the vacation programme
I lived at home during my internship as I was well within commutung distance, and the cost of socialising in Birmingham isn't too expensive
Although I didn't experience it during my internship, the nightlife is very good in Birmingham
There were events for the students on the programme, a corporate social responsibility event, various networking events and other events that allowed you to socialise with other employees within the company
