The Role
I really enjoyed the internship.
I feel strongly supported. Whenever I was given a task, my supervisor always provided enough information and discussed with me if there's any problem. I learnt a lot.
There's a really good balance between work and life. The working load is reasonable. However, I wish, sometimes, I could be busier.
It's the first time I worked for economic consulting, and it's quite an enjoyable experience. I probably would take some business modules in my fourth year, rather than just technical engineering modules.
The Company
It is a relaxed working atmosphere.
Starting with an induction , introducing BuroHappold generally. Then, an online course and test need to be done, which outlined the safety issues. Group coordinator told me everything I need to know before starting work. And everyone was willing to help.
My supervisor provided me with lots of working experience, different projects, different tasks. Also, BuroHappold Foundation awarded me a scholarship.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Above 25 days holiday
There is a big possibility that I will come back to BuroHappold after graduation if offered a position.
The Culture
The BuroHappold scholars got a chance to know each other. During my internship, it was the 40th anniversary celebration, a good social event. Also, summer barbecue, and lots of talks.
I lived in London, which definitely has a high living cost. But the social life was great. Lots of galleries, exhibitions, shows, etc.
You can get everything you want in London.
Yes, as I have said, London is great. Lots of galleries, exhibitions, shows, talks, endless shopping facilities, etc.
