The Role
I have to say that i found it far more enjoyable than i assumed i would, i had the chance to interact with alot of staff and made some really good friends.
since i'm only a 2nd year student i was not able to be of great asistance but i did help the pharmacist in dispencing
the pharmacy was relatively busy hence the pharmacist was not available as much as i would have liked, i.e. to ask questions etc
it varied from day to day, sometimes it was really quiet other times it would become extreamly busy
i was given quiet alot of repsonsiblity i.e. dispensing prescriptions
i am alot more familiar with alot of drugs i.e. brand names and what they are used for than i was before starting the placement, i also become more familar with the most commest drugs precribed.
The Company
sometimes it was quiet so it was dull at times but when it was busier it was rather fun, they had alot of different staff coming in which was rather cool.
fairly organised,
the pharmacist helped me as much as she could but she was away for some of my placement on holiday so it was only upto an extent.
they need qualified staff, hence as a student it hard to get a job with Lloyds Pharmacy.
The Culture
Yes, there were a few students who also worked for a short while which was good, since we exchanged views.
i had to catch the train which was expensive
i didn't work nights
yeah the area where the pharmacy was located had alot of shops near as well as other social amenities
