The Role
Slow at the start and slight confusion to what my job role entailed to begin with. However I really grasped my main duties after only a couple of weeks. Also working on site over 2 different shows in September was brilliant and not only gave me a great insight into the events but i've also had the opportunity to get to know some really great member of the team too.
I felt more than valued but all my peers, particularly my line manager who constantly provided me with positive feedback and the occasionally constructive feedback too which has been really beneficial to my professional development
If i was stuck or behind on any given task my colleague and line manager were very helpful and understanding
The tasks kept me busy throughout the day however i could have managed a slightly higher workload. Particularly at the start of my placement
I was given the responsibility of managing theatre onsite at the show, as well as calling guests of the show too for research purposes. In addition to this i was given responsibility of regularly updating the show's mobile app and the updating the show's website too.
very beneficial as it has given me an insight to a wide range of events management role applicable to an Events Management degree
The Company
My line manager was very organised and scheduled in weekly meetings to ensure i was keeping on track and also to be given new tasks. However the general meetings with the whole of the internship team was minimal
Flexi Time
Above 25 days holiday
I've already been offered 2 work opportunities after i graduate next year
The Culture
Really great social aspect of the job particularly on fortnightly socials, on site and colleagues birthdays etc.
Paddington has loads of great bars and activities on the canal on a weekly basis as well as an amphitheater that showcases films and sports games on a big screen
