The Role
I really enjoyed working in the HR Management Team at BMW. I had the chance to get to know many different sides and tasks that the job as a HR Manager involves.
My team included me from the beginning on and helped me with any queries I had. We had a really relaxed but still professional atmosphere in the office.
My team helped me with any problems and questions I had and were happy to explain and introduce me to their processes.
Most of the time I was busy during the day, when there were no tasks to do I tried to find myself something to do or asked if I could assist.
I was heavily involved in one of the processes which allowed me to work independently. However I was always supported when I needed help.
I was able to take part in a training for the whole team and I did an online safety course. My role didn't require any further training.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was always good, I felt like a full member of the team.
At the beginning it took me a while to get access to all the systems, but as soon as all the requests were approved everything ran smoothly.
I was able to take part in a training for the whole team and I did an online safety course. My role didn't require any further training.

I don't consider starting a job at the moment as I need to go back to university for at least two years but I would definitely like to join the BMW Group at some point again.
The Culture
The social scene was one of the best parts of my placement, as there are weekly internsmeetings and everyone is welcome. We go for lunch together and even spend our free time and weekends together. Also special events were planned for us like going to a horse race or laser tag.
Oxford is not a cheap area but there a a lot of private people offering rooms which are affordable. Oxford with its many students is a nice and lively area to live in!
The nightlife couldn't be better. Many pubs and clubs.
Absolutely, you can meet other interns almost every day of the week, there is football, internsmeetings, pub evenings, concerts, and so on...
