The Role
I really loved working for this company, it was hard, demanding work but exceptionally rewarding
I had review forms completed by my colleagues at the end of the placement and they said that they very much valued my inputs to the works and enjoyed having me around
Continually supported throughout for all of my tasks
For this you could argue what too busy was. I was certainly kept busy, and always had something to do however I really enjoyed this and it kept me going throughout, having structured work
I am still to graduate and so not much responsibility could be officially given to me however I was surprised and pleased with the responsibilities that I was given
An incredible experience for me as an engineer, learning a huge amount for future studies
The Company
Very positive and friendly feel, with a good balance of work and fun
Very well organised. Some sections could have been better organised however that was due to circumstances outside of their control
They organised a meeting with the relevant institute (ICE) who helped me plan my CDP for future use and the company itself worked to improve my skill set continually
I am very much looking forward to future experiences with the company
The Culture
For the circumstances in which we were working (drink limits and location), there were informal events organised by the company for socialising
My wage was supplemented to accommodate the living costs of the area which was relatively high
I was working in a remote location of North Somerset and so didn't have much opportunities. This wasn't a problem
Again, I was working in a remote action of North Somerset and so had very few opportunities
