The Role
Poor placement, slow pace of work.
Organisation was going through a restructure and this was having an impact on some of the team in a very visible way. No attempt was made by any member of the team to integrate myself. There were no team lunches or events. Only time I sat down with my team was at our desks.
Very little, although some feedback was given, it was rarely actionable feedback
I had a good amount of work overall, but I very much had to search for it, mostly from other teams.
The team was overstaffed so there was not much work to go around. Dealt with this by finding work from external teams.
I learnt about banking processes which is very useful for my personal life and a commercial banking career.
The Company
Positive, relaxed atmosphere
Very poorly, did not hear anything from the team responsible for the internship, other than for for our charity challenge & training calls over the entire internship.
4 generic phone calls over the 10 week internship.
Subsidised/Company Gym
The pay is very appealing, but the work is demoralising.
The Culture
The interns were very effective at organising themselves for socials. The high number of interns also makes the internship more enjoyable.
The same as any other central london office. Quite expensive.
Central London. Good if you know where to go.
Nothing organised by Lloyd's
