The Role
The work placement was very enjoyable, diverse and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to start a career within property.
My colleagues were very welcoming and were extremely supportive in helping me complete my daily tasks.
This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions (my supervisor) gave me all the support and guidance I needed during the internship; I cannot speak highly enough of his input during my internship at JLL.
I had plenty of work to do, but at no time did I feel overwhelmed. My colleagues support was vitally important to help me complete my daily workloads.
I was involved in valuations of large portfolios of properties from day one and also inspected the built structure of these properties. This is essential to providing clients with professional and sound advice.
The skills I acquired on the internship have prepared me for a career within property.
The Company
There was an excellent balance of camaraderie and work productivity in the office.
HR did an excellent job of exposing the interns to different areas of the business by setting up talks and site visits. It was very professionally set up and ran like clock work.
JLL treated the interns as normal employees and made sure that new skills were required regularly and tasks set were diverse, to accelerate our development.
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I am still currently working with JLL in their agency office in Canary Wharf and am hoping to have a full time career with the company.
The Culture
Everyone at the company was extremely friendly and there were always social events going on.
London is an expensive place to live, but socialising can be done for free!
There is always a buzz around the Warwick Street office after work.
I joined the JLL softball team and we got to meet employees at other firms during games and gain an understanding into what they do.
