The Role
This was my first internship and I have to say I've enjoyed it thoroughly. The exposure that we get within the bank was just incredible.
Very much. I was given proper tasks by the end of my first week. I was treated like any other colleagues and did not feel like an intern at all.
My manager was particularly supportive, not just in my current career plans but was also concerned about my long term career goals and my aims in life. I was also assigned a mentor who was an experienced person in her area of business and we regularly kept in touch.
Not too busy as I was in the operations team. Basically it's a very timely job whereby you have certain tasks to complete by a certain time range. So once I was done with those tasks I could leave. I usually leave the office at 6.30pm
Reasonable amount of responsibility. I was doing the same jobs that other experienced colleagues were doing.
I guess it will not apply to my degree in Economics in any sense. But it has definitely enhanced my soft skills immensely.
The Company
People have high work ethics but never forget to joke around and have some good time too.
It was very well organised with many fun events planned.
We had many speaker sessions which aided in the understanding of banking.
Subsidised Canteen
very well. There are many different kinds of roles and opportunities available.
The Culture
Yes most people went to bars after work and there were many bars near the office
Fairly reasonable.
Not too sure about this.
Yes we had some volunteering activities.
