The Role
A fantastic way to spend a summer.
I was treated as part of the team from the start.
Everyone is very busy and the pace is high but people will always make time for an intern.
Projects have short deadlines and you have to work hard if you want the job at the end. But that simply means the internship is more representative of a graduate role.
I was given ownership of a project from the start and it was fantastic to be doing something that was genuinely a key part of the teams overall goals.
In terms of business experience i think there is little that can compare.
The Company
I work on the trading floor so pace is high.
Many organised events made networking with other interns fun. Boat parties, rollerdiscos etc.
In terms of investment they are keen for you to grow skills and they want to take you onto a graduate roll at the end, providing you have shown commitment.
Company Parties/Events
They value the CDP intern program very highly.
The Culture
A large number of organised events.
It is London so living and socialising costs are very high. Still, wages are higher in London...
Its London!!
Again, its London so there are boundless opportunities but hours are long (9-7 or 8-6 minimum) so there is not that much time outside of work.
