The Role
My time at Sony was absolutely brilliant, I feel that I have been empowered and stretched. Working on real business task and project has given me a “hands on” insight into the business world
While working as part of a very busy the finance team, I did not feel like an "intern". My contribution and opinion counted equally, which was great for my learning habits.
I had regular one-to-one meetings with my boss, most of these sessions were spent talking about my tasks, professional development and my personal well-being which made me feel like a valued employee.
The most busy periods was during month-end, however this was level-headed by the mid-month periods which was less demanding.
I was given high level of responsibilities, some of the reports that I produced helped senior management to make informed decisions on cost, supply chain and headcount.
Working as part of a team who is accountable for the financial status of the business. I've learned how to collect data and translate it into a meaningful information. Through this I have developed excellent analytical and numerical skills which is an essential for my course.
