The Role
RBC is a fantastic place to get initial investment banking experience
My colleagues took my work and insight seriously from day 1
The guidance and support was top notch. I was invited to client meetings even as an intern
Quite busy. On average at the office until late at night.
I was given a great amount of responsibility. The slides I produced were often sent directly to clients
Both the intense technical and soft skills I learned during my internship will be of great use for any future job I may have.
The Company
Overall, there was a very good atmosphere in my team, however there were some tensions regarding work hours and hierarchy in other teams on the floor
Very organized
I especially liked the speaker lunches on Wednesdays
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Appealing, however job security is not great considering recent developments
The Culture
The events organized by HR were great
Quite expensive
Very good
This could be improved with more bank wide events rather than just team or intern drinks
