The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed every opportunity at GlaxoSmithKline, supported with every project involved in.
no matter what experience you have, your colleagues and peers value every idea and decision you may have and consider your opinion.
Supported throughout every task and project, never felt that I was alone in a project.
Some days can be very busy depends on the project however you are never pushed to the limit of being stressed, as your colleagues want you to be happy in your role and enjoy every minute of it.
As an Industrial Placement Student you are valued just as much as a colleague that has worked there for over a decade.
Working here prepares you for the future and allows you to gain the skills to ensure you succeed in what ever field you choose as a career. You can also work with other teams outside your normal job role.

Very organised, the company are experienced with dealing with undergraduate and graduate students.
Working as a industrial student at GlaxoSmithKline you are emailed various opportunities to gain industry recognised qualifications, which are fully funded by GlaxoSmithKline.

As a industrial placement student you are given the opportunity to apply for the graduate scheme, if successful, you can secure your future before finishing your final year. If the graduate scheme doesn't suit you, you can apply for a direct role, the company gives you the alternative to register your details on their system for 2 years after you finish your placement, any job roles that suit you or if your skills suit potential hiring managers you skip the applying process and get called straight for an interview. However you can choose to do both, which gives you a great opportunity to stay at the company if you wish.
The Culture
You are constantly invited to events by GSK's IP group, which is made up of a team for industrial students working at the company. You also get invited to GSK's department events such as Christmas, charity events, F1 stimulators.
Affordable, you can live near Brentford or Stockley park and catch the free shuttle bus service to and from GSK house (head office). They also have free transport near the tube or train stations situated near GSK sites.
You are situated quite close to central if you work at GSK House. However there are staff parties organised quite frequently locally near GSK sites.
All the time, including charity, GSK funded events or self funded events.
