  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I really enjoyed the scheme, it was a great way to learn more about the firm and get to know the sort of work that they do.

    • I felt valued by the Associates who I worked with because I was given tasks to do which were useful to their own work.

    • It was great having a trainee buddy who gave me lots of support.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • It will help me when I do my LPC course, especially having worked in the Corporate Department for a week. It was very useful to further develop my research skills and to have lots of tasks in quick succession as this helped time management.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very well structured, I felt that a great deal of time had gone into the planning of the scheme with the timetable activities, presentations and social events.

    • It was very friendly and everyone was approachable, especially the trainees and HR. I really enjoyed the social events especially darts.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • Yes I have a good idea of what life would be like as a Trainee at the firm, given that I went to a client meeting and fulfilled the Trainee role.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • Travel expenses were not reimbursed and could have been. I spent much of the money I was paid on commuting each day.

    • Yes there are opportunities to be involved in fundraising for charity as well as sports teams.
