The Role
My internship was very nice, the subject was interesting and perfectly matched what I was looking for. I was very pleased to get this internship because it allowed me to travel abroad and to improve my communication skills in English.
My work has been valued a lot and this is very nice. It was not doing an internship for doing an internship, what I produced was used by the company and had a concrete output. It is great to be considered as a regular employee and to matter.
I was given regular feedback and advice. In addition, we did a lot of meetings to present and discuss my work, which was very useful. My colleagues were all very opened to questions and it was very easy to discuss a subject while grabbing a coffee, or to set up a meeting if necessary.
I was very busy, especially at the beginning of my internship. My goals and output were clearly defined so I knew how much work I had to do and how long it would take. Knowing what you have to do is clearly a good thing. What is more, I could easily ask my supervisor for more work if I needed to.
My work was valuated and I did some presentations to executive members of the board. I was given a lot of responsibilities but I was also always helped and supervised. My work had a real importance and it is a good feeling to have.
As the subject of my internship was in the continuity of my studies, this internship helped me to improve and develop the skills I needed for my studies. The knowledge I acquired is very valuable and allowed me to get my diploma.
The Company
The atmosphere was very nice as you can easily communicate with people, discuss and work. I don't think there is much to say about it as it is very subjective, but I felt comfortable and could easily talk to people about anything.
It was well organized, when I arrived my computer, screen and other devices were all ready, and my accounts were easily set up. Everything was perfect except from the part dealing with the fact that I came from abroad. Thankfully I was helped by French colleagues for the administration formalities because HR didn't provide me any help about that. But I know that this part is currently improving which is a good thing.
My internship didn't require any specific training, nevertheless at the beginning of my internship my team shared with me a lot of information and trained me on several subject to help me start my internship. This was very valuable and helped me to progress very quickly.

The employment prospects look really good especially in the area I am working in. There are a lot of advantages working at HP Inc and employee are treated very well. Having done my internship here I don't think that I will be able to find a better environment to work in.
The Culture
There is a really good social scene among colleagues, the only thing is that there is not a lot of people due to HP recent split. But it doesn't prevent HP Inc from organizing great events that help to great links within and between teams
As a French person I find that the cost of living is quite expansive, especially if you want to go out every night. I don't really know how expansive Bristol is compared to other places so I guess it depends on where you come from.
Bristol is a city full of students so the Nightlife is awesome with a lot of events and places to go. It is very easy to go to the center and have fun so you won't have any problem with that.
As I said, Bristol is a full of students so there are a lot of activities, sports and charities to join. The life here is very active and you won't have any problem to find what you are looking for.
