The Role
I loved interacting with clients, and getting the chance to work in one of the Big 4.
Being told they'd forgotten that I was an intern demonstrated how valued I felt.
Never felt there was a lack of support and guidance, as there was always someone available to help.
With audit, it relies on client providing information so it can be vary greatly from little to a lot quickly.
I was regularly given work and my name was written on any work I produced therefore showing the responsibility I had.
There are a lot of transferrable skill to be gained from an internship in audit, such as communication, team work, time management, to name a few. The most important thing is the experience that can be gained from being in a full-time basis, how it really feels to be in audit.
The Company
Being in audit, most of the time was spent away at client's offices. However, the team always made it a good atmosphere.
Timing was always an issue. From the starting point often response from each stage of application would be late by up to a week. Then as the internship went on it was at times confusing to understand exactly when or what was happening, consequently, I'd be booked into a new job just to fill my planner.
Considering it was a vocational intern, there was a lack of time for personal training and development. However, any skill that was necessary was always provided for.

Following the intern there was an interview with the opportunity of being offered a graduate scheme. With the career opportunities, perks and the experience I had during my internship, I was extremely attracted to the thought of future employment with KPMG. As soon as I was offered with a contract for the graduate scheme, I immediately accepted.
The Culture
There was frequent events held for all the employees within the firm for chances to social and meet more people. There was also extra events for fellow interns and placements so we could get to see others that are in the same position as yourself.
I have no idea what the cost of living and/or socialising as it was only a vocational internship, so I didn't have the chance to find out the information.
I don't know because I didn't go out
I don't know as I was only there for a short period of time and didn't explore the opportunities that may or may not be available
