The Role
My placement at camp was amazing! It really suited my skillset and was perfect for me.
I felt really valued by my colleagues as we created a great team spirit from day one and everyone helped each other out to make it a great environment to work in.
My direct supervisors were very encouraging and supportive.
Very busy!
Quite a lot. I was responsible for 12 campers and looked after their daily needs. You create a great bond with your campers.
I have learned some fantastic skills, like team working, listening, activity leadership and management skills.
The Company
It was a very fun and lively place to work!
Fantastic. My visa sponsorship company Wild packs helped me so much in getting my visa and in supporting me from the moment I applied.
I was given the opportunity to learn a lot of different skills and put through lifeguard training as well.
The Culture
We enjoyed travelling around the local area on days off together.
Pretty similar to the UK
We had some bars nearby which were great but there wasn't a lot around.
On days off a trip to the mall, theme park or into New York was always arranged.
