The Role
Technically I found this placement difficult and very challenging however I have learnt a lot and had many opportunities to explore different types of work.
I felt like a really important member of the team. Everyone around me was very friendly and supportive.
My manager was very patient with me and would always answer all my questions as detailed as he could. He would support me a lot at the start when I was overwhelmed with all the new things I was learning.
Some days I had very little to do or the jobs I had were a little boring. Other weeks I'd have lots to do. I'd never be left with nothing at all to do though so that was good.
I was given a really nice amount of responsibility. Enough that I felt important and I had my own projects and jobs but not so much that I had no support or was too stressed out.
The Company
Never silent, reasonably busy. Able to chat at coffee machine and the whole office would meet for cake weekly. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.
My manager was under a lot of pressure and his work load was very heavy for the first half of my placement. Some of my training would occasionally be delayed or I would be unable to sit in on as many meetings as I would have ideally liked. Apart from that, which was out of my managers control, it was ran very smoothly and was structured.
I could go to as many talks/training sessions as were available to me. I would have liked to be able to spend more time in other departments to learn what they did and
