The Role
Overall really good experience, it was my first office job and it was a good introduction. There were 7 other interns at the office so it wasn't intimidating.Everyone was very welcoming, I learnt a lot in that job and believe it is a great asset my CV now.
Everyone was very welcoming and my us feel comfortable. A lot said they knew what it was like to be new, and tried to make us feel at home.
As much support as you need. I had 2 meetings with my performance manager, and a buddy, who was a graduate. Support was there if you needed it.
really varied throughout the placement. Sometimes there really wasn't much to do, and I spent some days doing other things. On some bigger jobs that were quite time pressured I didn't want to ask for too much to do, as I felt I was only slowing down the team more than anything else, but on smaller jobs it was really easy to ask for more things to do, and the people in charge were always happy to assist.
Not much but that is to be expected from a summer internship with no previous experience of audit.
looks really good on my CV, developed a lot of skills that I can now apply to my degree, especially in group work and attention to detail.
The Company
good atmosphere, although sometimes a bit cliquey.
well organised, with 2 induction days at the beginning.
everyone was always willing to explain things and take time out of their day to assist.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
really good. Everyone gets a final interview for a graduate scheme if they have met the criteria throughout their placement.
The Culture
yes, there was the summer party during my time at the office which was really good. there were 7 other interns in Bristol therefore we also met up outside of work.
Bristol so pretty expensive to live and travel. Socialising not too bad.
Bristol so really good.
yes, we had a corporate social responsibility day, and social events in the evenings
